What is the MA CEESA?

This course is a practitioner-oriented Masters for people already active in social movements, popular education or the struggle for equality (and a few newcomers to the field) who want to take a year to focus on developing their own practice. We emphasise "learning from each other's struggles": rather than staying within the familiar space of what people are doing within a single movement, we think there is much more to be learned by spending a year with other students and staff from a wide range of different movements. The Masters is a year-long commitment with two 12-week terms (classes organised into two intensive days to help people with work, caring and activist commitments) followed by a thesis geared to thinking about your own practice.
